WBRP Closures & COVID-19 Resources

Community health and individual well-being are part of our core values. Due to the COVID-19 public health concerns, WBRP and most operations will be closed until further notice. Events scheduled during this time will also be postponed.


WBRP Program Updates

  • Tool Library/Workshop Space - Closed. Any Tool Library loans will be extended without a fee.

  • Bike Co-op:  Closed until further notice

  • Veggie Oasis: The Veggie Oasis program (free food giveaway on Thursday and Saturday) has been temporarily suspended for safety reasons.

  • Community Gardens: plot reservation available soon

  • Seed Library: Closed

  • Book Bike: Books are available in many of the Little Free Libraries which are also doubling as Little Free Pantries. Feel free to leave books or non-perishable foods in the libraries for your neighbors.

  • Barbers with Books: Our partner barbershops and salons are currently closed

  • Microloans: Applications are open and being accepted on a rolling basis for current or future small business owners

You can sign up for our Healthy Eating program that offers a free Veggie Box every week from May to October and free grocery delivery (just the delivery fee, not the groceries).

If you need food (meals or groceries) right now, please fill out the request form. We are working with other helpers to try and get food to your family. If you prefer to fill out the form over the phone, call us at 309-829-1200 and we will help.

Local and National Resources

Here is a list of resources to help people during the COVID-19 crisis. Documents linked are updated often, check back regularly.

  • Path 2-1-1: For local information and referrals, please call PATH at 2-1-1 or 1-888-865-9903. Hotline volunteers have been trained to help.

  • The Salvation Army’s food pantry is open Mondays only from 1-4 PM. They are also on the Westside at Washington and Mason. They are using a drive-thru/walk-thru system and will be limiting person-to-person interaction. Their website says clients can come once every 30 days and must bring a current piece of mail and photo ID. If you have questions, call 309-829-9476.
